Ceremony to honor workers who died on job
Iowans on Tuesday will pay tribute to the 39 Iowa workers who lost their lives in 2014 while working. The annual Workers Memorial Day ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday on the west terrace lawn of the Statehouse. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Wallace Building Auditorium. Labor Commissioner Michael Mauro, Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend, labor leaders and others will speak.
