Charter school receives grant from Community Foundation
The Des Moines Public Charter School Foundation has received a $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines Leadership Circle.
The Leadership Circle granted the foundation $200,000 in 2010 for start-up costs. The second grant, the Community Foundation said, is based upon the success of the charter school in achieving its first-year goals, and should help connect other funders to the school.
