City Sounds seeks artists to paint public pianos
City Sounds announced that it is seeking artists to paint the pianos that are part of the Des Moines Public Piano Project. Nine artists will be selected to paint seven primary and two alternate pianos for the 2015 season. The nonprofit organization has partnered with DSMarts to provide studio space for the artists. Details on the artist program and electronic applications can be submitted via the project’s website. Applications are due no later than April 10, and should only be submitted via the available form. Artists will be announced April 15.
