Climate report: Evidence mounts of trouble in Midwest

The latest international climate report strengthens the case that the Midwest will face rising temperatures that overall will hurt crop yields and threaten livestock, the Chicago Tribune reported. In addition to battling warmer, wetter and more humid conditions, farmers will face more crop disease, more pests and lower quality stored grain.
