Communities receive over $715,000 from Alliant Energy Foundation

85 wordsAll Latest News, Energy, Nonprofits and PhilanthropyIn its first Community Grant cycle of the year, Alliant Energy and the Alliant Energy Foundation awarded over $715,000 to various causes and nonprofits across Iowa and Wisconsin. Community grants were spread across Alliant Energy’s four focus areas. Thirty-three communities received $114,000 in grants to benefit community safety and engagement, nine communities received a total of $355,000 for environmental stewardship, 25 communities received a total of $140,000 for workforce readiness and $102,000 in grants were given across 20 communities for hunger and housing.
