Council to vote on YWCA demolition bid
A Michigan company has submitted the lowest bid to demolish all but the skywalk and first-floor structure of the former YWCA at 717 Grand Ave. The Des Moines City Council will be asked today to approve the $1 million bid of Dore & Associates Contracting Inc. of Bay City, one of eight companies that responded to the city’s request for bids on the project.
