Credit union executives elected to board
Three Central Iowa credit union executives were among 12 members elected to the Iowa Credit Union League board of directors last week, the organization announced Tuesday. Michael Whittie, president of Federal Employees Credit Union in Des Moines; Tim Wallen, president and CEO of Ace Community Credit Union in Ames; and Brent Helin, president of Des Moines Metro Credit Union in Des Moines, will each serve on the board, which includes three representatives from four sets of credit unions grouped by asset size. The trade association represents the interests of the state’s 137 credit unions and their nearly 1 million members.
