Crude oil leaks into flooding river from derailed train in northwest Iowa

66 wordsAll Latest News, Energy, Statewide News, TransportationSioux City Journal: Residents of several farms were evacuated early this morning after a train carrying oil derailed, spilling some of its contents into floodwaters of the Little Rock River near Doon in northwest Iowa. Firefighters arriving at the scene were greeted with a strong odor surrounding about 30 cars that had left the track in an area surrounded by floodwater from the Little Rock River.
