D.M. to present new Walnut Street plan
The city of Des Moines and the Downtown Community Alliance will host a public presentation by the consulting team hired to develop a streetscape and revitalization strategy for Walnut Street from Second Avenue to 10th Street.
The presentation will be at 4 p.m. on Monday at the Greater Des Moines Partnership building, 700 Locust St. The presentation is titled “New Trends and Techniques in Urban Retail Planning for Downtown Districts.”
