In a ceremony befitting of a new company, the Alcoa plant in Riverdale assumed its new name — Arconic Davenport Works. The new name comes as Alcoa officially split into two publicly traded companies today. Alcoa will remain the name for the commodity side of the business, while Arconic is the name for the manufactured products side.
