191 wordsAll Latest News, Innovation and EntrepreneurshipThe deadline to submit input on the Central Iowa Broadband Internet Survey has been extended to May 14, the Greater Des Moines Partnership announced this week. Residents and businesses in Polk, Story, Warren, Dallas, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall and Poweshiek Counties are encouraged to take the survey. The survey is available in several languages. Officials say the survey will help create a clearer picture of consumers’ experience with broadband service across the region and help identify areas that are underserved. There are two separate survey links, one for residential households and one for businesses. There will also be a series of online public forums on issues affecting broadband access that residents can participate in. Each one has a different topic. They are scheduled for noon on May 6 (“The Rural Broadband Experience“), 4 p.m. on May 6 (“The Challenges of Learning from Home“), 2 p.m. on May 10 (“Getting Care from Anywhere — Telehealth in Central Iowa“), and 10 a.m. on May 11 (“Remove Work Challenges and Opportunities“). Funding for the survey comes from a consortium of public and private partners in the survey area.
