Deere employees injured in China explosion
A Deere & Co. crisis response team on Thursday continued to assess the injuries to John Deere employees as well as damage to the company’s Tianjin, China, manufacturing complex after a massive chemical explosion tore through the Chinese port city a day earlier, the Quad-City Business Journal reported. As of Thursday afternoon, the company had determined that a small group of employees working at the time suffered minor injuries, but several others were injured in their homes when a hazardous chemical warehouse exploded. The company has not been notified of any deaths of its employees, spokesman Ken Golden said.
