The new six-year contract is UnityPoint Health’s third consecutive exclusive contract with Deere since 2004, and for the first time will include UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Methodist West Hospital and Blank Children’s Hospital) in the exclusive hospital network. The Deere Premier coverage network, administered by United Healthcare, covers 31,000 Deere bargaining unit employees. “I am proud that our focus on providing the right care at the right time has made UnityPoint Health the network of choice for one of our largest regional employee groups,” said Eric Crowell, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health-Des Moines. “We are excited that this most recent plan will now allow those employees in the Des Moines region to experience this efficient quality care at our facilities.”
