Deloitte announces new family leave policy for women and men

Deloitte LLP recently introduced its family leave program that allows men and women to take up to 16 weeks of fully paid leave if they are new parents or caring for a loved one, BizWomen.com reports. Theresa Drew, managing partner of Deloitte’s Carolinas practice, is confident the new program will help retain talent. Drew says the program is the first of its kind for the professional services industry, although Bank of America and Wells Fargo announced similar offerings this year. “It’s really quite an extensive benefit for our people,” Drew said. “It strengthens and supports our culture. We have a culture of courage.”
