Deming chosen for ACS Quality of Life Award
Richard Deming, medical director of the Mercy Cancer Center, is one of 11 cancer care providers chosen to receive the 2011 American Cancer Society Lane W. Adams Quality of Life Award.
The award recognizes individuals who have made a difference through innovation, leadership and consistent excellence in providing care to cancer patients and their families. Deming is currently the chair for the society’s Iowa Advisory Council, a member of its Midwest division board of directors and part of the society’s Cancer Action Network.
The awards will be presented in a ceremony on May 12 in Atlanta.
