Stephen King, executive director of the Des Moines Arts Festival, was elected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the International Festivals and Events Association Foundation Board on Friday, Feb. 10 in Denver.

“I am thrilled to be engaged with the industry in such a meaningful way,” King said. “The IFEA is a world-wide industry trade organization with a very high profile. My seat at the board table allows for me to highlight all the good things we are doing in Central Iowa that make us the envy of the nation.” 

The International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was formed in 1993 with a mission of ensuring that the IFEA has resources to fulfill its own educational mission.
