Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie and City Manager Rick Clark will host three forums, beginning tonight, to give residents an opportunity to talk about how they would like to have their tax dollars spent. The forums are scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight, Oct. 26 and Oct. 27 at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, 909 Robert D. Ray Drive. Each meeting will focus on a different group of city services. Spanish interpretation services will be available, and the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will provide transportation for those who call 283-8100. Opportunities for residents to submit ideas and provide their thoughts on budget priorities will also be available on the city website for the next few months at www.dmgov.org.
