Des Moines Concours d’Elegance set for Sept. 7

159 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and CultureThe Des Moines Concours d’Elegance, an annual automotive exhibition gala, marks its 25th anniversary this year with its 2025 event scheduled for Sept. 6-7. Held in downtown Des Moines, the Concours combines a display of more than 125 rare, classic and exotic vehicles with a mission of supporting Children’s Cancer Connection, a nonprofit serving Iowa families impacted by childhood cancer. The event kicks off at the Stine Barn Sept. 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm with Donald Osborne, an automotive historian, appraiser and co-host of “Jay Leno’s Garage.” The gala will also include dinner by chef Aaron Holt, a bourbon tasting experience, live music, auctions and a special vehicle display. Tickets for the gala can be purchased here. On Sept. 7, over 125 vehicles will be on display at the John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park. The free exhibition will be from 10 a.m. to 4 .m. and will also include interactive exhibits, food vendors and family fun.
