Des Moines financial report gets an ‘excellent’ award
The city of Des Moines has received a certificate of excellence in financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, according to a release from the nonprofit group. The city’s annual financial report meets the organization’s standards, including a “spirit of full disclosure,” according to the release. The award is given to the city’s finance department.
