Des Moines invites input on 25-year comprehensive plan

134 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawThe city of Des Moines is developing a new comprehensive plan, PLAN DSM: Creating Our Tomorrow, and is inviting residents to attend a series of meetings to discuss their thoughts on the city’s future. The focus is on five key questions. What will the city look like in 25 years? Where should new residents live? How will the neighborhoods keep their character? Where should new developments be located? What other features should our community have? All meetings are from 6 to 8 p.m. Here are the dates and locations:
– Feb. 24, Municipal Service Center, 1551 E. Martin Luther KIng Jr. Parkway.
– Feb. 26, Polk County River Place, 2309 Euclid Ave.
– March 3, Des Moines Central Library, 1000 Grand Ave.
– March 10, Polk County River Place.
