Des Moines moved to seventh, up from No. 15 last year, in SmartAsset.com's rankings of the nation's top cities for tech work.

Des Moines moved to seventh, up from No. 15 last year, in SmartAsset.com’s rankings of the nation’s top cities for tech work. The site mentioned that tech is taking off in Des Moines, with 700 jobs added in 2014, a jump of 6 percent. Des Moines also boasts a 2.6 percent unemployment rate for people who have master’s degrees.
