The best in Des Moines theater will be honored Aug. 30 at the inaugural Greater Des Moines Cloris Leachman Excellence in Theatre Arts Awards, informally known as the Cloris Awards. The event, organized by the Social Club and Register Media, is designed to celebrate and reward the metro’s best in performance, design, and production in live theater. Tickets to the $25 event can be purchased online.
