Des Moines Water Works announces facility start-up
Des Moines Water Works board of trustees and staff members will gather Tuesday to commission the official start-up of the new Saylorville Water Treatment Plant, which was constructed in response to growing water demand in the northern metropolitan area. Utilizing membrane technology to soften and purify water, Water Works’ third treatment plant is the largest such facility in the state of Iowa. It is located on Northwest 26th Street, south of Northwest 66th Avenue. The event will take place at 10 a.m.
