The Dew Tour returns to Des Moines for a second year with two days of skateboarding and celebration Friday and Saturday. Dew Tour first arrived in Des Moines last year as it helped christen the newly opened Lauridsen Skatepark and served as the only U.S. Olympic qualifying event for the Tokyo Games. This year’s event is a finals-only competition and will feature some of the top men and women skateboarders in the world. The two-day festival will also feature the return of the Battle of the Shops, highlighting regional skate shops that compete as a team against one another. Des Moines’ Subsect Skate Shop will be the local shop competing against others from the Midwest. Dew Tour, which is in its 17th year, is free and open to the public. It will be livestreamed in its entirety on DewTour.com, Facebook Live, YouTube and other major platforms. A full schedule of events can be found on the Dew Tour website.Photo by Catch Des Moines
