The survey asks a variety of questions about the services DRI provides as well as a new question on what issues Iowans are experiencing across the state. Responses to the survey will be used by DRI’s board of directors to decide how to direct the organization’s advocacy for the next three years. “We encourage you to share the disability issues most impacting you and your community,” DRI Executive Director Catherine Johnson said in a prepared statement. “By focusing on the widespread issues currently impacting our community, we can maximize our limited resources and serve as many Iowans as possible.” Maximizing resources is more important now than ever to DRI, as they are at risk of experiencing a reduction in their Federal Protection and Advocacy Grants in 2026.
