Dish Network reaches settlement with Cablevision
“The Walking Dead” was back on the air for 14 million Dish subscribers Monday night as Dish Network Corp. settled its four-year legal battle with Voom HD, L.A. Biz reported. Under the deal, Dish will pay $700 million to Cablevision and AMC Networks, which are both under the control of the Charles Dolan family. In addition, Dish inked a multiyear agreement to carry AMC, IFC, the Sundance Channel and WE tv as well as The Madison Square Garden Co.’s Fuse music channel. AMC went back online yesterday; the other channels will go live on Nov. 1.
