The Des Moines Area Community College board of directors announced it unanimously approved several personnel changes at its most recent meeting. DMACC vice president Kevin Halterman was elected board president, succeeding Joe Pugel, who retired June 16. To fill the open vice president position, the board elected board member Felix Gallager. The board also named former Newton mayor and current Iowa Utility Association Executive Director Chaz Allen to the DMACC board to fill Pugel’s remaining term. Allen’s DMACC board seat and three others will be up for election in November.
