DMACC names Snook Lautner assistant director of student development
Megan Snook Lautner has been named the assistant director of student development for Des Moines Area Community College. Snook Lautner was most recently co-director of DMACC’s Guided Pathways. In her new role, she will lead and manage the student orientation and registration program and coordinate academic and advising services districtwide. She will also supervise district career center staff and express advising staff at the Ankeny Campus. Snook Lautner fills the role that was vacated when Erica Spiller became the associate provost at the DMACC Urban campus. Lautner’s other previous roles with DMACC have been as a work study coordinator, academic adviser and pathway navigator. She has an associate of arts degree in education from Kirkwood Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Iowa and a master’s in higher education from Iowa State University.
