The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will release trout in seven locations this winter, including Bondurant and Ames. You’ll need a fishing license and a trout stamp to go after them. The daily limit is five with a possession limit of 10. Children age 15 or younger can fish for trout with a properly licensed adult, but they must limit their catch to one a day. The stocking will be at noon Jan. 30 at Lake Petoka in Bondurant, and at noon Feb. 6 at Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames. Fish will be released in January in Spencer, Sioux City, Mason  City, Council Bluffs, and Fort Dodge. Get full details here.
