DOT division chief named to national anti-human trafficking panel
David Lorenzen, motor vehicle enforcement chief at the Iowa Department of Transportation, has been named one of 15 members of a federal Advisory Committee on Human Trafficking by U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao. The committee’s goal is to craft strategies for identifying and reporting human trafficking and to recommend actions to curb it. Lorenzen has spent more than 40 years in law enforcement, the last 35 with the division he has run since 2006.
