Double Up Food Bucks expands to all Fareway locations in Iowa

The addition of 76 Fareway stores will make the program accessible to thousands of Iowans and help them buy more fresh produce, the nonprofit organization said in a news release. “This is one of the largest expansions in the history of the program, and it will help thousands of families across the state live their healthiest life by helping them bring home more fresh fruits and vegetables,” said Iowa Healthiest State Executive Director Jami Haberl in a statement. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, users are automatically eligible for Double Up Food Bucks. For every dollar spent on produce, another dollar is matched by the program, up to $15 per day. Double Up Food Bucks also recently launched online registration.
