Downtown chamber honors businesses, citizens

Veridian Credit Union was named Business of the Year, the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau was chosen as Nonprofit of the Year, and Kris Saddoris from Hubbell Realty Co. was selected as the Citizen of the Year. Kelli Vorrath from Hawkeye Hotels Inc. was Ambassador of the Year, and Joe Benesh, a past chair of the Des Moines Downtown chamber board of directors, was honored with the Service Award.
