Two Drake professors, Ina Purvanova and Alanah Mitchell, are releasing a new book to help leaders navigate the evolution in hybrid work environments. “The New Workplace: Employee Alignment in Remote-First, Office-Forward, and Hybrid Work Organizations” offers a research-based framework to help leaders align employees across remote, in-person and hybrid work environments, addressing challenges like cultural drift, disconnected teams and evolving employee expectations. Purvanova researches virtual work, flexible work practices, and leadership, and provides consulting, training and development on these topics. Mitchell’s research, teaching, and consulting focus on the design, implementation, and use of information and communication technologies for collaboration.
