The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s DSM Tutor Connection has created additional resources for tutors, parents and guardians to make better use of the platform, including additional filtering options and helpful tip sheets. Tutor searches can now be filtered by grade, subject and location, as well as to verify whether the tutor is accepting new students. Additionally, the new Tips for Parents/Guardians and the Tips for Tutors handouts include helpful guidance for setting up phone interviews and safety precautions for those who will be performing in-person tutoring sessions. Those interested in tutoring can sign up through an online platform, and parents or guardians interested in hiring a tutor can search the platform to connect with tutors who they think would be a good fit.
