Brian Mulcahy, director of finance and administration at Des Moines International Airport, has been awarded the Accredited Airport Executive distinction by the American Association of Airport Executives. To qualify, Mulcahy had to successfully complete a 180-item multiple-choice examination, fulfill a writing requirement and demonstrate in a final interview by a panel of airport executives his knowledge of airport management, business administration and general transportation economics. According to a news release, Mulcahy joins a select group of people who have earned the designation. Fewer than 10% of American Association of Airport Executive members are accredited airport executives.
