EMC Insurance Group Inc., the publicly-held insurance holding company of EMC Insurance Companies, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its initial public offering on The NASDAQ Stock Market on Feb. 9. President and CEO Bruce Kelley will ring the Opening Bell on that day to commemorate the event.

More than 2,100 EMC employees in the Des Moines home office and in the 16 branch and five service offices will watch a live feed of the broadcast from NASDAQ, which will include Kelley’s introduction and remarks before ringing the bell.

The initial public offering by EMC Insurance Group Inc. was $8.00 per share and the secondary offering in 2004 was $18.75 per share. By the end of 2006, the stock price had grown to $34.82 per share.

On Nov. 9, 2006, EMC Insurance Group Inc. announced its 100th consecutive quarterly dividend paid since becoming a publicly-held company in February of 1982.
