Eric Rose, COO of Waukee Community School District, resigns amid criminal charges
The Waukee Board of Education voted early this morning to accept an immediate resignation by Chief Operations Officer Eric Rose as he faces criminal charges for misconduct in office. Rose was charged Saturday with two counts of soliciting a felony and one count of felonious misconduct in office; he has pleaded not guilty, reports the Des Moines Register. As part of the agreement, the Waukee school district will pay Rose for earned vacation days, and Rose agreed not to bring legal action against the district in the future, the board said in a statement released to media after the meeting.
