Sarah Erickson has been named executive director for John Stoddard Cancer Center, UnityPoint Health – Des Moines officials announced on Friday. Erickson

Sarah Erickson

was previously the outpatient manager for the cancer center. As outpatient manager she assisted the center in receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer and accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Erickson has a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute’s Community Leadership Program and a current participant in the UnityPoint Health Management Leadership Academy. Erickson succeeds Carma Herring, who retired after more than 30 years in the oncology field as a nurse and then executive director at John Stoddard Cancer Center.
