Event Sept. 29: Partnership offers Public Service Academy

88 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Business Community EventsThe Greater Des Moines Partnership and partners will stage a Public Service Academy from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Des Moines Central Library. The event, co-sponsored by the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and Young Professionals Connection, will feature presentations from elected officials about their experiences, information on how to run for public office or apply for boards and commissions, and the importance of public service. Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller will give the keynote address. Read more or register online; fees apply.
