Facebook’s Altoona Data Center has awarded $136,970 to local nonprofit organizations.

Facebook’s Altoona Data Center has awarded $136,970 to local nonprofit organizations. This year’s 11 grants bring the total since 2015 to $442,300. Among the recipients are schools and libraries. Southeast Polk schools will receive $49,900, and Bondurant-Farrar schools will receive $34,542 for STEM projects and curriculum. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
