Facebook’s Altoona data center awards $103,000 in grants
Facebook Inc.’s data center in Altoona has awarded its inaugural 25 community grants worth a combined $103,000 to area nonprofits, chosen from among 70 applicants. The winners demonstrated that they will use the power of technology to benefit their community, help improve education and bring people together physically or virtually. Among the recipients were schools, libraries and police departments. Grants ranged from $500 to $10,000.
