FemCity Des Moines president Erin Huiatt announced she will be stepping down from her position after six years. Abby Martinez, owner and founder of Well Balanced Business, will take over the role. Martinez has served on the FemCity Des Moines Board for the past two years. Huiatt launched the conference in 2021. “Leading FemCity Des Moines has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Huiatt in a release. “Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible women who are shaping our community and redefining what leadership looks like. I couldn’t think of a better person than Abby to continue this important work. Her passion for supporting women entrepreneurs makes her the perfect fit to lead FemCity Des Moines into its next chapter.”
