Blank Children’s Hospital annual Festival of Trees and Lights has been recognized for volunteer excellence by the Health Care Volunteer Resource Professionals of the American Hospital Association. The Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence highlights the extraordinary efforts of volunteers and volunteer programs and the positive impact their contributions have on the patients, hospitals, health systems and communities they serve. Festival of Trees & Lights is a five-day public event held over the Thanksgiving holiday at Veterans Memorial Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center Ballroom in downtown Des Moines.
