Fidelity & Guaranty Life Business Services, also known as F&G, reported a layoff of 103 employees in Des Moines through the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act on May 27. The layoffs were effective June 2. Company representatives said 192 employees total were being laid off. “F&G has announced a reduction in force of 192 employees across both our Des Moines headquarters and remote functions,” a company spokesperson said in an email. “This is in alignment with the company’s goals to efficiently scale the business and ensure our long-term success. We are providing support to impacted team members, including a comprehensive separation benefits package.”
