The largest independent regulator of U.S. securities firms has made it easier for investors to find records of disciplinary actions and complaints that have been filed against firms and individual brokers, InvestmentNews.com reported. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. (FINRA) yesterday launched a new disciplinary actions online database that provides access to complaints, settlement agreements and decisions by FINRA hearing panels and the National Adjudicatory Council. Previously, the public had to contact FINRA to obtain copies of these documents. The database also includes pending complaints FINRA has filed against firms and brokers.
