Flexsteel reports $57 million in its employee retirement plan
Dubuque-based furniture maker Flexsteel Industries Inc. had $57.5 million in its Salaried Employees Retirement and 401(k) Plan at the end of 2010, according to a June 15 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The figure represented a 13 percent increase from a year earlier, when the plan held $50.8 million.
Flexsteel distributed $2.96 million from the fund in 2010, compared with $3.7 million in 2009.
The company allows eligible employees to put 1 percent to 50 percent of their basic pretax pay into the plan and contributes a matching amount equal to 25 percent of the first 4 percent of each employee’s contribution.
Of the $57.5 million in the benefits account, roughly $51 million is invested in funds operated by Principal Life Insurance Co. Of those investments, the two largest holdings are $14.7 million in the Stable Value Select Fund and $10.6 million in the Large Cap Stock Index Fund.
