125 wordsAll Latest News, Iowa Stops HungerThe Food Bank of Iowa has announced a partnership with senior Cyclone punter Tyler Perkins on his Punts for a Purpose campaign. For every yard he averages in a game throughout this football season, Perkins will donate $2 to the Food Bank of Iowa and Story Construction and First National Bank in Ames will both match those donations. Community members can also donate to Punts for a Purpose or support the campaign by purchasing Raygun t-shirts that were designed for the campaign. “Here’s the truth: 1 in 8 Iowans and 1 in 6 Iowa kids face food insecurity. Together, we can change that,” Perkins said in a prepared statement. The Food Bank of Iowa serves 55 of Iowa’s 99 counties, delivering more than 27.3 million pounds of food (22.7 million meals) to 700 partners annually.
