Former Principal exec sentenced
Mark Hanrahan, a former managing director at Principal Real Estate Investors, has received probation and a deferred judgement on two counts stemming from a journey through Des Moines earlier this year in a quest for cocaine, the Des Moines Register reported. Hanrahan initially was charged with second-degree kidnapping after a man said he was ordered into a vehicle at gunpoint and told to find cocaine or crack cocaine. Polk County District Judge Jeffrey Farrell sentenced Hanrahan on charges of solicitation to commit a felony and carrying weapons while intoxicated, according to online court records. Farrell also prohibited Hanrahan from having any contact with the victim for two years.
