Four Iowa manufacturers highlighted by CNN
CNN profiled four Iowa manufacturers as part of a look at how Iowa is helping sustain American manufacturing. The four companies profiled — Sioux City-based Jolly Time Pop Corn, Atlantic-based Atlantic Bottling Co., Marshalltown-based Fisher, and Clarinda-based Lisle Corp. — are all more than 100 years old. CNN writes that Iowa has more than 200 companies that have been in the state for more than 100 years, and that manufacturing makes up 18 percent of the state’s gross domestic product. Read more
