Free mammograms offered to the uninsured
Katzmann Breast Center and Mercy Cancer Center will partner with Bras for the Cause of Iowa to provide free mammogram screening to uninsured or under-insured patients from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 30. Refreshments will also be offered to “Muffins and Mammograms” participants. The event will take place simultaneously at four locations: Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines, 1111 Sixth Ave. in Des Moines; Mercy North, 800 E. First St. in Ankeny; Mercy East, 5900 E. University Ave. in Pleasant Hill; and Mercy West, 1601 N.W. 114th St. in Clive. For more information, call (515) 222-7549.
